Tomorrow "as bare as you dare" for climate change

On Saturday the 10th of March, three Australian cites will participate in this co-ordinated global event. Brisbane, Melbourne and Newcastle will all ride naked.

Intending Newcastle participants should assemble by 3pm at Rosegum Road Reserve, next to the Warabrook train station. Everyone is welcome to participate for free.

The world's largest naked protest event is the World Naked Bike Ride. Riders in 56 cities in 16 countries take to streets against non-renewable energy, for the environment, peace and the right of cyclists to use the road safely.

For a future to exist for tomorrow's generations, we must stop exploiting mineral energy, stop polluting the Earth, stop fighting and killing in the name of consumerist wealth accumulation and learn to love and respect all life, and to continue to spread this message.

The dress code for the ride is go "As Bare As You Dare" so clothing is optional. The event is not an overt display of sexuality and the nakedness of the riders indicates their vulnerability to motorised vehicles and their connection with humanity and nature.

Apart from being hilarious fun, the World Naked Bike Ride is trying to stop carbon induced climate change that threatens the planet. You could help save the world or at least die laughing while trying.
